Biography of Jeanette Wilson Muir

Jeanette Wilson Muir was a student at the University of Glasgow for the academic year 1909-10.

She was born on 17 July 1892 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA to James Glenn Muir, a pattern-maker and Elizabeth MacNaughton.

Muir resided at Bowling, West Dunbartonshire when she matriculated at the University in 1909, aged 17. She studied Latin and Logic in the Faculty of Arts.

Muir later married Gustavus Foss Sargent, born in Boston. She died on 17 January 1957 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
