Biography of Samuel Ralston

Samuel Ralston was born in County Donegal in 1756, third son of James, of Donaughmore.

Ralston joined the ministry and returned to preach in Donaughmore, before emigrating to the USA in in 1794. There he served as Presbyterian Minister of Mingo Creek from 1796-1836, and of Williamsport (now Monongahela city) from 1796-1831.

Ralston also served as President of the Board of Trustees of Jefferson College from 1808-48. He was obtained a DD degree from Washington College in 1822.

reverned Ralston died at Carroll, Washington County, on 25 September 1851.
