Mary Katharine Turner matriculated at the University in 1906, following her brother, Thomas Lindsay who graduated MA in 1906.

They were born at Falmouth, Jamaica, the children of Reverend William Young Turner, a missionary at Christiana, Jamaica.

Over the course of three years, Turner took classes in Mathematics, French Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, and Logic.
