Biography of Andrew Archibald Ranken
Andrew Archibald Ranken matriculated as an Arts student at the University in 1837. He was the third son of Andrew, a Glasgow merchant.
Ranken worked as a merchant in Manchester, Trinidad, Shanghai, and London. He died at Skelmorlie, Ayrshire, on 14 August 1894.
