Biography of Ewen Lamont

Ewen Lamont graduated MA from the University in 1923 and BSc in 1924.

Lamont was born in Prince Edward Islands, Canada on 9 November 1896. His father was Reverend Murdoch Lamont, a Minister of the Church of Scotland, who also studied at the University of Glasgow.

One of nine siblings, Lamont was not the only one to study at the University of Glasgow, and was followed by his brother William Dawson Lamont in 1919 and Malcolm Lamont in 1924.

Lamont was aged 22 when he matriculated in 1918, taking classes in Logic, English, Natural Philosophy, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Education. In his final year 1923-1924, He took classes in Physical Chemistry, Clinical Engineering and Laboratory.

Lamont died at Forres on 20 September 1969.
