Biography of Matthew Strang
Matthew Strang matriculated at the University in 1842. He was the eldest son of John, a shopkeeper of Glasgow.
Strang became a missionary of the United Presbyterian Church in Jamaica in 1846, alongside fellow Glasgow students, William Paxton Young and James Caldwell. He died at Bothwell, on 10 November 1857, aged 39.
