Biography of Warrand Carlile
Warrand Carlile matriculated at the University in 1810. He was born at Paisley, the fourth son of James.
Carlile served as Presbyterian minister at Carlow from 1836 to 1842. He became a missionary at Brownsville, Hanover, Jamaica in 1843 until his death there on 25 August 1881.
His son, James Edward Carlile matriculated at the University in 1841.
