Biography of John Shortridge
John Shortridge matriculated at the University in 1799, followed by his brothers, George Yuille and William j. He was the eldest son of William, a merchant in Glasgow.
Shortridge spent sometime in Jamaica, possibly as a merchant of Henderson McCaul and Company.
He died at 68 Gloucester Place, London, on 22 November 1878.
