Biography of Taylor Cathcart

Taylor Cathcart matriculated at the University in 1793. He was the fourth son of James of Pitcairlie, Newburgh, Fife.

Cathcart resided for many years in Jamaica, where he was a plantation manager and landed proprietor.

Taylor Cathcart of Carbiston and Pitcairlie died at Pitcairlie House, Newburgh, in 1857.
