Biography of Alexander MacLarty
Alexander Johnston MacLarty matriculated at the University in 1791. He was the second son of Alexander MacLarty, a ship captain, of Greenock.
He died at Kingston, Jamaica of "the malignant fever", eight days after his arrival there on 23 June 1794.
