Biography of John Wedderburn

John Wedderburn matriculated at the University in 1789, with his brother, Andrew, matriculating in 1790. He was born in Inveresk, East Lothian, the eldest son of James Wedderburn.

In 1794 Wedderburn went to Jamaica, where the family then had considerable estates. He died there on 19 May 1799.
