Biography of John Kerr
John Kerr studied an Arts course at the University of Glasgow, matriculating in the year 1760 and taking a class in Greek. He was the eldest son of church minister, John Kerr, who worked in Carmunock parish.
Later, Kerr emigrated to Jamaica, and settled in St Elizabeth parish, in the south-west of the island.
