Biography of Reverend George Lambert
George Lambert matriculated at the University in 1848, taking a class in Logic. He was born in Gorebridge, Midlothian in 1827, son of John, a weaver in the Temple parish of Midlothian.
Lambert was a missionary in Trinidad from 1853 to 1870: first at Arouca and later San Fernando. He returned to Scotland and preached in Rigg, Gretna from 1873 until his death in 1892.
