Biography of Cyril Wentworth Porter
Cyril Wentworth Porter enrolled at the University for one year in 1903 to study Mercantile Law. He was born on the island of St Vincent, West Indies, son of Lewis, a retired merchant. His hometown at the time of matriculation was Ardrossan, Ayrshire.
Porter became an accountant working internationally, and residing in Shanghai, China, where he married Elizabeth Grubb Arthur Hutchison in 1918.
