Biography of Kathleen Melita Fryer
Kathleen Melita Fryer graduated MA from the University in 1927 and EdB in 1928.
She was born in 1905 in Floriana, Malta, where her father, George Robert Fryer, was a Minister of the United Free Church.
From 1924 to 1927, Fryer studied subjects such as Logic, Maths, Natural Philosophy, Moral Philosophy, English, French and Education in the faculty of Arts. After receiving her MA degree in 1927, she enrolled in the faculty of Education in the same year and took subjects such as History of Education, Educational Methods, Psychology, Physiology and Hygiene, History and Theory of Education, graduating with the EdB in 1928.
After graduation, Kathleen is designated in the General Council Register as a teacher in Ayrshire.
Fryer married Archibald Connor Liddell, a motor engineer at Auchinleck, Ayrshire on 6 July 1938, where the couple resided. She died in May 1976 in Mauchline.
