Biography of Ida Maria Carolina Fattori

Ida Maria Carolina Fattori graduated BSc from the University in 1923. She was born in Empoli to Fortunato Fattori, an Italian produce merchant.

Fattori enrolled to study Science in 1918, and during her time at the University she took classes in Botany, Natural Philosophy, Zoology, and Systematic and Practical Chemistry.

In July 1925, whilst working as a teacher at the Benedictine convent school of Maxwelltown, Kirkcudbrightshire, Fattori became a naturalised British citizen.
