Biography of Richard Horace Gibbs
Richard Horace Gibbs studied at the University of Glasgow over two years from summer 1884 to academic session 1884-1885. He was born in Melbourne, Australia, son of Richard, the General Registrar and Registrar of Titles in Melbourne.
Gibbs enrolled at the University in the summer session of 1884, aged 21, where he took classes in Botany, Zoology and Practical Chemistry, for which he was awarded a Second Class Certificate. In session 1884-85, he took classes in Junior and Senior Anatomy and Physiology.
