Biography of Esfira Adlerova

Esfira Adlerova was born in Regina, Romania, thought to be modern day Bessarabia, Moldova in 1915, daughter of Gheis, a journalist. Adlerova matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1941 where she studied Medicine for two years, having already graduated from the University of Prague in Medicine. Her studies were funded by a bursary from the Czech Government, and she attended classes in Clinical Medicine, Midwifery, Gynecology, and Surgery at Glasgow.

Adlerova went on to attend the University of Oxford in 1943. She moved to Canada, where she worked on the British Columbia TB Control Agency. She died on 7 March, 2004.
