Biography of James Anthony Hamilton

James Anthony Hamilton graduated MB ChB from the University in 1919. He was born in 1892 in Ballygeary near Cushendun, County Antrim. His father, John, was a farmer and lighthouse keeper.

Hamilton came to Glasgow to study Medicine in 1914, graduating on 4 April 1919. After graduation he returned to County Antrim.
