Biography of Kate Ann McIver
Kate Ann McIver graduated MA from the University in 1919. She was born in Malta in 1894, daughter of Malcolm, a soldier and timekeeper.
McIver enrolled at the University in 1916, at the age of 19, and for the next three years took classes in Mathematics, French, Italian and Logic. During her time at the University she won various class prizes, such as a first class certificate for Higher French (1917-1918); a prize for French Language and Literature (1917-1918) and for Higher Italian (1918-1919).
After graduation, McIver became a teacher and lived in Crosshill, Glasgow.
