Biography of James Robb MacGregor

James Robb McGregor enrolled at the University for one year in 1890, aged 21. He attended classes in Mathematics, Naval Architecture, Drawing and Engineering.

McGregor was born at Bridge End, Scotland, son of Sir William McGregor, a medical practitioner in British New Guinea, who became a prominent colonial administrator.
