Biography of Fernand Touris
Fernand Touris enrolled at the University for one year in 1908 to study Latin. He was born at Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles, son of Fernand, a postmaster. Touris, a Mauritian-Indian, was awarded a Seychelles scholarship in 1906 to continue study abroad.
Touris qualified as a barrister, and in 1938 he was appointed an Un-official Member of the Legislative Council of the Colony of Seychelles.
