Biography of Rosa Barnett
Rosa Barnett enrolled at the University in 1933 to study for an MA. She was born around 1915 in Telshi, Russia, modern day Telšiai in Lithuania, daughter of Isidore, a Jewish Minister.
Barnett was awarded a Carnegie Scholarship, and took classes in English, Moral Philosophy, German and French, the latter both to honours. She received a first class certificate for German Language and Literature during the session 1936-1937.
