Biography of Edward Yonace
Edward Yonace, born Yoddes, graduated MBChB from the University in 1927. He was born on 12 December 1903 in Vilnius, Russia, modern day Lithuania.
Yonace came to the UK around 1906 with his family. He enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1919 to study Medicine, gaining distinction in Medical Physics, Chemistry, Midwifery and Clinical Surgery.
After graduation in 1927, Yonace then continued medical practice in Glasgow. He became a British citizen in 1931, and married Olga Levy in 1934. He died in Glasgow in December 1959.
