Biography of Phiroza Behramji Malabari
Phiroza Behramji Malabari enrolled at the University in 1905 to study Medicine for two years. She was born in Bombay (Mumbai), daughter of Indian poet, journalist and social reformer, Behramji Malabari.
Malabari received her Medical education at the University of Edinburgh and Glasgow, obtaining the Triple Qualification in 1907 LRCP, LRCS Ed, LRFPS Glas. At Glasgow, she first took classes during the summer session of 1905 in Practical Pathology, Medical Jurisprudence, and Clinical Medicine, followed by two further sessions (1905-06, 1906-07) in Clinical Surgery, Pathology, Midwifery, Surgery, Dispensary Medicine and Clinical Medicine.
Malabari returned to practice at Bandra Hill, Bombay, and married Hormusji Dorabji Kanga.
