Biography of Munib Emir El Ghurayib
Munib Emir El Ghurayib enrolled at the University in 1915 for two years to study an Arts course.
Ghurayib was born in Beirut, then part of Syria, son of Emir El Ghurayib, a merchant. His home residence while at the University of Glasgow was Birmingham, England. He attended classes in Moral Philosophy, Political Economy, Logic, Education and Arabic.
Ghurayib appears to have taught colloquial Arabic at a school set up for the study of Arabic at Kingsmead, Birmingham, a training institution of the Friends' Foreign Mission Association.
