Biography of Jacob Axel Alfred Carl von Rosen
Jacob Axel Alfred Carl von Rosen enrolled at the University in 1893, aged 20, to study Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering for two years under Professor John Harvard Biles.
Von Rosen was born in Aalborg, Denmark, son of Jacob Eduard Carl von Rosen. Resident of Odense, von Rosen went on to work as a ship inspector in Copenhagen and for a few years in Germany. He died in Fredriksberg, a borough of Copenhagen, in 1930.
