Biography of Svend Greund Henningsen

Svend Greund Henningsen matriculated at Glasgow in 1905 for two years to study Naval Architecture and Engineering.

He was born in Copenhagen in 1881, son of Thora Vermehren and Frants Peter Diderik Henningsen, a famous Danish artist and professor at Copenhagen Royal Art Academy.

Henningsen took classes in Naval Architecture, Practical Mathematics, and Engineering IV, excelling in his first year, achieving the highest mark in his Junior Naval Architectural Drawing class. Henningsen went on to work as a shipbuilder.
