Biography of Gordon Wotherspoon

Gordon Wotherspoon graduated MBChB from the University of Glasgow in 1934.

Wotherspoon was the son of a graduate of the University; his Scottish-born father John also graduated MBCM in 1889, emigrating to Seattle, Washington to practice medicine and marrying an American, Laura Calhoun; their fifth child was Gordon, born at Seattle on the 28 July 1904.

Gordon was accompanied at the University by his younger, Seattle-born brother Kenneth, who died in his first year of Medicine.

By 1936, Gordon had returned to Seattle. He died there on the 19 April, 1958, at the age of 53.
