Biography of Paul Daniel Jourdan
Paul Daniel Jourdan registered at the University in 1919 as an Arts Research Student.
Jourdan was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, son of Daniel, a minister. He graduated Licence ès lettres from the University of Neuchâtel in 1916 with his thesis on the Roman physician Scribonius Largus before enrolling at the University of Glasgow in 1919 for one year, where undertook courses on Latin and Greek.
