Biography of Jean Alexander Milne
Jean Alexander Milne (née Gow) graduated MB ChB from the University in 1959. She was born in Buitenzorg (Bogor) in Java, Indonesia, daughter of Donald, a company director.
Milne attended Hutcheson's Grammar School in Glasgow, before enrolling at the University for six years in 1953 to study Medicine.
After graduation in 1959, Milne went on to obtain a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1935, and DA Eng in 1965. She also worked as anaesthetist at the Victoria Royal Infirmary in Glasgow.
