Ralph Crosbie Rogers was an Arts student at the University in 1893. He was born in Valparaíso, son of John, a merchant.

Rogers enrolled at the University aged 17, and attended classes in Literature and Mathematics. His brother, Norman Cumming Rogers, also enrolled at the University shortly thereafter in 1896.
