Biography of Mon Tsin Tchou

Mon Tsin Tchou graduated with a Bachelors of Science (BSc) on 10 November 1917. He was born in Tzechow, Szechaun province, son of Woa-Chow, a mining engineer.

Tchou first matriculated in 1911-12, aged 18, joining the Faculty of Science. During his fours years he signed up for classes and advanced classes in Mathematics, Natural Philosophy (Physics), Chemistry, Physical Laboratory, Mining, Geology adn Mineralogy, Electrical Engineering, Engineering laboratory and drawing, and Metallurgy. Tchou was awarded several prizes dueing his studies: a second class certificate for Mining, Class III and IV; and a first calss certificate in Geology part II (1914-15).
