Biography of Chetai Yu

Chetai Yu graduated with a Bachelors of Science (BSc) on 13 November 1915. He was born in Shanghai, son of Han-Chun, a chemist and merchant.

Yu first matriculated in 1910-11, aged 20, joining the Faculty of Science. During his fours years he signed up for classes and advanced classes in Mathematics, Natural Philosophy (Physics), Engineering, Mining, Geology, Chemistry, and Metallurgy.
