Biography of Tse Fong Ting

Tse Fond Ting graduated with a Bachelors of Science (BSc) on 30 October 1913. He was born in Sanying, Chekiang (Zhejiang) Province, son of Shu-Chiang, a magistrate.

Ting first matriculated in 1909-10, aged 22, joining the Faculty of Science absed on preliminary exams completed in 1908 in Shanghai. During his fours years he signed up for classes and advanced classes in Mathematics, Natural Philosophy (Physics), Chemistry, Engineering, (drawing and laboratory), Geology and Electrical Engineering.
