Biography of Bhabani Charan Barat

Bhabani Charan Barat graduated BSc from the University in 1912.

Barat was born in Calcutta (Kolkata) in 1876, son of Baura Charan, a physician. Before coming to Glasgow, Barat graduated BA from the University of Calcutta. He enrolled at the University in 1909 and attended classes in Mining, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy, and Geology, graduating 16 November 1912.

After graduation, Barat worked as a mining engineer, and is recorded to have returned to Calcutta by 1939.
