Biography of Alexander Scott
Alexander Scott attended the University of Glasgow from 1902 to 1907, graduating with an MBChB. He gained second class certificated in Physiology, Physics, Materia Medica and Pathology as well as a first class certificate in Clinical Medicine.
In 1927 he moved to Northern Rhodesia to work as a doctor on the railways. He also took a keen interest in Zambian politics and his son, Guy Scott (b.1944), went on to become Vice-President of Zambia in 2011.
