Biography of Karen Margrethe Myhre
Karen Margrethe Myhre graduated MB from Queen Margaret College in 1901, making her the first female Norwegian student at the University of Glasgow.
Myhre was born at Vossestrand, near Bergen, Norway, daughter of Jakob, a retired engineer.
She began her studies at the QMC in 1893 aged 25, and returned to Norway upon graduation to pursue a career as a physician.
