Biography of Oliver Styles

Oliver Styles graduated BSc from the University in 1896. He was born in Valparaíso, Chile, son of Henry, an engineer.

Styles was awarded several prizes during his Engineering studies under Professor Archibald Barr, including being joint winner of the George Harvey Prize and the Walker Prize in 1895. After his graduation in 1896, Styles returned to his home town of Santiago, Chile, where he worked as an engineer.
