Biography of Marcus Horne Reid
Marcus Horne Reid’s father, Robert, was an Antiguan surgeon who sent his sons to the University of Glasgow for their medical education. Older brother Robert Samuel, who was born in 1775, enrolled in 1791. He did not graduate from Glasgow but returned to Antigua to practise as a surgeon and died there of yellow fever in 1804.
Younger brother Marcus graduated M.D. on 13th October 1803.
