Biography of Jules Marcus Marucheau
Jules Marcus Marucheau graduated from the University MD in 1844.
He was born in St Lucia. His father, Pierre (or Peter) Marucheau owned enslaved people who were forced to work on his sugar plantations Retraite and Black Bay.
Marucheau matriculated at the University in 1837, after his brothers, Clermont and Anthony, who matriculated in 1830 and 1831 respectively.
