Addison 1727-1897 reads: Campbeltown. Assistant-Surgeon in the Bengal Army, 1830. Surgeon, 1846. Inspector-General, 1858-62, when retired. Served in the First Afghan War, 1839-42; in the Panjab Campaign, 1848-49; and in the Indian Mutiny as Superintending Surgeon at the siege of Dehli. Honoaray Physician to the Queen, 1861. Died at Campbeltown, 2nd March, 1871.
