Biography of Henry Daniel McCulloch
Henry Daniel McCulloch graduated MB CM from the University in 1883, and LM from Rotunda Hospital Dublin in 1882.
He was born in Calcutta (Kolkata), India, son of James, a police superintendent. Upon qualification, McCulloch worked as chief medical officer of Hyderabad State Railway Hospital in Secunderabad, India, and superintendent of the Delhi Eye and Ear Infirmary, before becoming a medical practitioner in London. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and member of the British Medical Association, McCulloch published numerous papers on the topics of tuberculosis, malaria, immunity and immunisation.
