Biography of David Hutton Fotheringham

David Hutton Fotheringham graduated MA from the University in 1885 and MB CM in 1890. He was born at Govan, Glasgow on 29 May 1863, son of Low Monteith Fotheringham, a carpenter and shipwright.

Fotheringham worked as a Free Church medical missionary at Lake Nyasa, where his brother, Low Monteith Fotheringham was an agent of the African Lakes Company. Fotheringham returned to Scotland, where he settled in Skelmorlie, Ayrshire.
