Biography of Henry Edwin Newman Dobie
Henry Edwin Newman Dobie graduated MB CM from the University in 1884.
Born in Fuzhou, China, son of Alexander, a merchant and sea captain, Dobie enrolled at the University in 1879 and was joined by his brother, Robert Douglas Dobie in the same year. Both resided in Richmond, England.
Dobie obtained his Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and Licentiate in Midwifery in 1884. He continued his medical career in Wyndham, Western Australia.
