Biography of George Glasgow
Flight Sergeant George Glasgow of the RAFVR was born in Kilbirnie and graduated MA from the University in 1935. He became a teacher in the Advanced Division of the "Town" School in Kilbirnie.
According to information published on the New Cumnock Parish Church website, Glasgow was killed while flying to the besieged island of Malta on 3 August 1942.
