This leaflet advertises Reid Brothers' firefighting equipment in Afrikaans.
Reid Brothers had been established in Glasgow by 1880 as 'engineering and colliery furnishers'. By 1918 a subsidiary of Reid Bros (Glasgow) Ltd was established in Johannesburg as Reid Bros (South Africa), importing mining and engineering machinery and equipment. The firm also acted as agents for other UK companies exporting engineering machinery and parts and marketing equipment, accessories, tools and supplies for the mining, manufacturing and construction industries. An office was later openend in Durban, South Africa, with subsidairy companies in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Zambia and Botswana.
