Addison 1727-1897 reads: Lecturer on Clinical Surgery, Dublin; Surgeon-General to the Forces; and Surgeon-in-Ordinary to George IV and Queen Victoria in Ireland; born at Dublin, 7th June 1777; died 10th June 1858; FRS; at Sir Philip's villa in Wicklow, sir Walter Scott halted for a night during his Irish tour in 1825.
